Thanks for spoiling the ending for me :P
Cool! So when's it coming out on the 360?
Sorry, but I prefer the new Lara. The old Lara did absolutly nothing for me, the new one is cute as hell.
The thing to remember is context. With the new Lara Croft game they've taken the concept of adventure and survival and tried to make it more gritty and detailed, so a caricatured character wouldn't really fit this concept, unless all the characters were equally caricatured (say, if a male character had a massive upper body and stick thin legs for example...) The...
...Because Japanesse online competitve games are sooooo much fun...
Disclaimer: And yes, Gears of War IS a truck-load-of-dolphins fun online (when it isn't lagging itself to death.)
More RAM please :)
Everything comes at a cost. So ask yourself: if the PS4 had backwards compatibility, what would that cost be?
A complex system architecture?
A more expensive system?
A higher loss per-system sold for Sony?
More time?
I think Sony made the right decision. BC is a bonus feature, nothing more.
Let the PS3 play PS3 games, and let the PS4 play PS4 games.
@newmonday
Where the public at the PS4 reveal? If I remember that was advertised as being for "select press" or "retailers" or something.
I know it was streamed live but I don't think the "public" turned up at the event.
Yes! That'll teach 'em.
Actually this is sht news, but not surprises.
"Oh, this franchise is making us loads of cash, how can we get more more cash from it?"
"I know, make it more mainstream, then it'll appeal to a 'wider' audience."
*Game/film/series sells like crap*
"Oh dear, well, it was a dying anyway, we're not sinking any more money into this dead franch...
Hating gamers is another way of saying they are greedy. If the publishers are only interested in gaining as much $$$ as they can for themselves, then it comes at the cost of doing things the gamers do not want: on disc DLC, micro transactions, online passes, and now blocking second hand games.
While I agree that publishers "hate" gamers, gamers themselves also share part of the responsibilty: the rising expectations of AAA games drives up production costs, and ul...
Yay! The world's biggest software developers and the greatest sport game monopolisers and teaming up!
Hang on, haven't they been in "partnership" before at some point? Weren't EA once partnership with Sony when the PS2 was announced? And Sega? And Nintendo? And Atari?
Unless it's anything to so with the next Respawn game I'm not even remotely interested. And even then, it better not be timed DLC content.
First of all, why are sheeple taking these rumours as fact and basing their decisions around them? Remember their just rumours at the moment.
BUT if they ARE true...then fck Microsoft. I love the 360 to death as a console, but there's no way I'd fork out a peny for a device if it cannot play games without an internet connection. Caps and bandwidth issues are one thing, but what about when the ISP goes down? If Microsoft actually do this, then I'm sticking to m...
So the sexy cleverage one was actually the more accurate one? How do they go from killing two birds with one stone to none? Weird.
Both outfits look great, but I'm still confused as to why it was changed because the corset "wasn't attractive". Eh? It seems that guys into games either have too much libido or none at all.
What's more disturbing: "And I thought, ‘a user is going to look at this and be like, why the hell would I w...
I agree with 3-4-5. It has the Halo ethos but they've taken it to another level. How close the game will be to the concept art is different matter however.
'cose, you know, new hardware is all about playing last generation games right?
Being backwards compatible is a definite plus, but not an essential feature, and contrary to whatever you might think, backwards compatibility does not determine the success of a console. In fact, if it needs backwards compatibility to be successful, then that only shows that that new generation library of games is weak.
Best solution to backwards compatibility? keep our o...
@ KaBaW
The problem with that is that you won't get the same feedback as using buttons. Sure, you could make the controller vibrate or what-not but devs as well as users will always pick a real button over a simulated one.
@ Donnieboi
Err, sorry, I prefer front touch, simply because I can actually SEE where my finger is going. I like rear touch as an idea, but in practice it's not as intuitive as front touch.
A 3d create game using move controllers on the PS4? Sounds too good to be true.
That's what I thought. I think he's saying that because the founders made Rag-doll Kung Fu.
My source tells me there'll be a COD game in 2014 too, released sometime in the 2nd half of the year. Treat it with a pinch of salt like every rumour.
Agreed. It isn't news when a new FIFA game is announced. COD is in the same category and should be treated as such.
"Overall, I think this generation of consoles will struggle painfully against the momentum of mobile/online games we’re seeing globally."
For example:
"Q: What will Spicy Horse Games be showing at GDC 2013?
A: We’re showing off our three existing online titles, BigHead BASH, Crazy Fairies, and..." Boooooooooooooooooooooooooriii iiiing!
Don't mean to troll mobile games of anything, I'm just genuinel...
